join the annual downtown trick or treat on october 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., organized by the assabet valley chamber of commerce. during this halloween-themed event, streets will be closed, allowing kids to gather treats from local businesses, marked by pumpkins in their windows. this beloved event attracts around 2000 kids, providing a delightful opportunity for children to enjoy trick-or-treating in main street's friendly shops.

5. honey pot hill orchards

for a quintessential new england fall experience, take a short drive from downtown hudson to honey pot hill orchards. named the number one place to go apple picking in the u.s. by travel + leisure, this amazing orchard which has been in the martin family for four generations, now boasts 186 acres of apple varieties, including sansa, ginger gold, akane, and red gravenstein. in addition to apple picking, they also have hayrides, friendly farm animals, the big green monster maze, a hard cider tent for those 21+, live music, a farm store with a variety of seasonal products, and the best cider donuts. it's the perfect place to make cherished memories with family and friends while surrounded by the vibrant colors of autumn.
